Poncho + Blanket= Comfort

What a great idea. A blanket thats also a poncho! I love products that double as more than one use! So often I like to put ponchos on my kids but they never stay on long enough and end up wrapped around their legs. Now you can buy one thats used just for that.

Check out this adorable double use poncho/blanket! From Branch

I am famous for changing my furniture, paint and anything you can think of to make a room new again. Wall Candy Art is perfect for those who constantly have the urge to change their style. Peel and stick! You can't go wrong, if you don't like the look just change it in a matter of minutes. Even getting your kids involved in decorating their own space will be fun and make them feel proud of their own creation with out the mess. They even have a chalkboard, perfect for those small spaces where every open area is a precious section of your home, and did I mention you can bring it anywhere and everywhere to keep you kids busy? Check it out at Wall Candy Art.

Baby Announcements

Birth Announcements are always so hard to pick out. There is a site called babyshere that has some really adorable selections. The prices are reasonable and they even offer free shipping for bulk orders. My sister and I were just discussing shower invitations for my older sisters baby shower in November. We found a really great invite that's fun and neutral, this is the one we'll be using.

Wooden Bike: bebefind

Childrens Wooden Bike - Tiger Pattern
I thought this was really clever; these bikes have no pedals and are meant to help teach your child how to balance on a bike. And who doesn’t love anything wood? So for those of you who have kids too young for bikes and know they are aching to have one, this is a perfect gift. And like any other wooden toy, this is a great heirloom idea. I still have a wooden bouncy rocker that was made in the 60’s, my girls get use out of it here and there but I really just like how it looks as an accent piece in my home. Check them out at sjscycles

One Touch Can Opener to the Rescue
One Touch Can Opener

I came across this one touch can opener; I think I may have to invest in it. Having the kids at home when I’m cooking is a chore in itself, and this would be perfect for multitasking. 90% of the time I am holding the little one in one arm while preparing food with the other, the company mentions there is no pressure needed and no sharp edges and best of all its cordless.

Funky Finds new and old
I've been reaching into my archives and picking some of my fav's and searching the net for some cool new things. I came across a few really cute things that I loved and still love.
Check these out:
adorable! babylegs are so cute and a definite must have. I used these on my daughter when she started to crawl.
I started using a hotsling when Rylan was about 2 months old. The only time she didn't cry was when she was being held. I used it for a good 5 or 6 months. Once she became mobile the sling was packed away. Recently she has been attached to my hip. The hotsling has come in handy once again, these slings are very easy to use and can be used for a l-o-n-g time.
These notebooks are adorable and whimsical. Perfect for a special gift for that special little someone.
These plates are really cute - and the kids will love the funky little monsters

bumbleride stroller
Here's another pretty interesting stroller. This time a toddler seat attaches to the handle bar area. Another great invention. Double strollers these days are way to heavy and big.

Single to Tandem Stroller Conversions: BUGGYPOD
Do you have a stroller you absolutely love, but now with a second child it's just not going to work? Well, I came across this great stroller attachment. It's called The Buggypod by Revelo, it converts your solo stroller to a tandem system. It has a clip on the side that attaches the "side car". It's flexible and easy to attach and detach. Now instead of changing stroller’s every time you're less one child, all you need to do is detach the sidecar or just fold it aside. It's designed to fit ages 6 months to 3 years. I really wish I would have come across this a long time ago, my girls are 1 and 4, my 4 year old doesn’t sit in a stroller very often, but if I new about this when I first had my second girl I would have ordered it immediately instead of buying a double stroller. 8 months after having the double stroller it’s packed away and probably won’t be used ever again.
Now if only they carried this in the U.S. I find that the Europeans come out with the funkiest most versatile baby gear! Hope you find this helpful in your stroller searches. Check it out at buggypod.

The "Leash" (Children's Safety Harness)
A few years ago, before I was a mommy, I came across a young mother who happened to have one of her children on a "leash" (but we all know you don't call it a leash, its a harness). I thought it was the most humiliating thing I had ever seen. But now that I have a 3.5 year old and 11 month old I understand. Personally, for me this is not an option, I just don't think my child is so uncontrollable that I need to do this, but I can't judge one for having to resort to a harness. If you think about it, all they are doing is trying to keep their child safe.
These are the steps we need to sometimes take when we have a "spirited" child. They don't like discipline very much and their way is the only way. So if you've been blessed with a "spirited" child, don't feel ashamed, do what you need to do to keep them safe.
